Description:
This session will provide a practical, evidence-based overview of diabetes-related foot infections, including the diagnosis and classification of soft tissue and bone infections, assessment of infection severity, and strategies for selecting appropriate antimicrobial therapy. Dr. Ibanez will discuss both medical and surgical management approaches, including when surgical intervention is indicated and the role of adjunctive therapies in optimizing outcomes for patients with diabetic foot infections.

We’ll also discuss the Resilience Bank Account (Sleep, Exercise, Meditation/Mindfulness, Gratitude, Self-compassion, Connection to others) and explore organizational strategies to help.
