The rapid spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) overseas and in the United States has raised the threat of a global pandemic.
ACPM has created the following travel guidance that will be in effect at least through April 30, 2020. These are subject to change and we will keep you informed as needed.
Effective immediately, the American College of Podiatric Medicine (ACPM) has restricted all international and domestic travel in light of the COVID-19 outbreak. It is our responsibility to ensure we are protecting the health and well-being of our patients, the public, our employees, board members, and volunteers.
While government agencies are not yet advising restrictions to domestic travel, the ACPM joins a growing list of companies, healthcare organizations, and universities taking precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and to prevent displacement of those traveling on behalf of the Board.
We advise you to use your best judgement to protect yourself, your coworkers, your family, and members of the community. If you have any questions, please contact Sandy or Dr. Stavosky.
The College will maintain normal business hours in California. In the event that a “work from home policy” has to be enacted for employees, the board shall continue to conduct business as usual.
